Big City Rigs is a premier truck dealership based in Salt Lake City, Utah, specializing in unique, one-of-a-kind vocational, heavy-haul, pre-emission, and specialty commercial trucks.

With over 60 years of combined experience in trucking and retail, our team lives and breathes big rigs. As owners of a separate hauling company, we’ve spent years operating, maintaining, and upgrading our own fleet—learning exactly what works in the real world. That hands-on experience shaped our passion for quality trucks and exceptional customer service, and it’s the foundation of everything we do.

We know what makes a great rig: the right manufacturer, engine, horsepower, transmission, suspension, attachments—and yes, the perfect amount of chrome. What started as a way to build and sell our own trucks eventually became clear: the Intermountain West needed a dealership that truly understood operators’ needs and delivered standout inventory with integrity.

We opened our doors in March 2020—from a single-bay shop, during the very week the world shut down due to Covid-19 Pandenmic. That first year, we sold just seven trucks. But we stayed focused, honed our sourcing, and grew—dramatically.

Today, Big City Rigs operates from a 12,000-square-foot facility in the heart of Salt Lake City. Our in-house team includes owner-operators, certified mechanics, skilled fabricators and welders, restoration experts, purchasers, transporters, and sales professionals.

We don’t just sell trucks—many times we build, restore, and perfect them. It’s our passion, and we love sharing it with our customers.

We’ve shipped rigs all across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos, Guam and Canada. Strong partnerships with top financiers and transport companies make buying from us seamless and stress-free.

Outside the of the shop, you’ll find us outdoors with family and friends—hiking, skiing, boating, camping, or hitting the links.
